HostZion seeks to recruit suitably qualified candidates for the position of Content Writer to fill the two vacancies at our Iganga offices.

Job Summary

HostZion manages and maintains a vast portfolio of websites both for the company’s brands as well as those for clients. To achieve this, the company has a dedicated team of editorial staff who work diligently to write high-quality, original and SEO-rich content for these websites. The Content Writers form part of the editorial team.

The Content Writer will develop and create content for print, digital media and/or product descriptions following HostZion’s editorial style guide. Well-researched, accurate and original content will be produced on tight deadlines.

The Content Writer will be required to deliver quality written pieces that are appealing to our own and our clients’ audiences, attractive to customers and that boost brand awareness. Excellent writing, spelling, and understanding of grammar are essential to this role.

Job Function

To conduct thorough research on industry-related topics, generate ideas for new content types, and create accurate, original and well-structured content for print, digital media and/or product descriptions following HostZion’s editorial style guide.

Content Writer Specific Roles, Duties and Responsibilities

The Content Writer shall be responsible for creating written content that is engaging, informative, and aligned with HostZion’s goals and target audience. The Content Writer’s specific duties and responsibilities will typically include:

  4. Content Strategy: Collaborating with marketing and editorial teams to develop content strategies that align with HostZion’s business objectives and brand voice.
  5. Editing and Proofreading: Reviewing and revising content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and style.
  6. Content Calendar: Managing and adhering to content schedules and editorial calendars to ensure a consistent flow of content.
  7. Topic Research: Conducting research on relevant topics and trends to generate fresh and insightful content ideas.
  8. Keyword Research: Identifying relevant keywords and integrating them strategically into content for SEO purposes.
  9. Content Promotion: Assisting in the promotion of content through social media, email marketing, and other channels.
  10. Multi-Platform Adaptation: Tailoring content for various platforms and formats, such as social media, email, and long-form articles.
  11. Brand Consistency: Ensuring that all content aligns with the brand’s tone, style, and messaging.
  12. Content Analytics: Monitoring and analyzing content performance using tools like Google Analytics and adjusting strategies accordingly.

Content Writer Personal Specification Requirements

HostZion’s Content Writers will play a very critical role in communicating the company’s message and engaging its audience. Minimum Academic Qualification

The perfect candidate for the position of Content Writer at HostZion should possess a Diploma or bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing, English, Literature or a related field.

Computer Literacy is a must.
